Fact Check

Starting the investigation, we first reverse-searched the viral picture of Ronaldo through which we found a Khaleej Times report published on January 28, 2022, in which the same picture of Ronaldo was used. Moreover, the title of the report read, “Look: Thousands gather to greet Cristiano Ronaldo at Expo 2020 Dubai”.

According to the report, the viral picture is from an Expo 2020 organized in Dubai. After going through the whole report of the Khaleej Times, we found that nowhere in the report it is mentioned that Cristiano Ronaldo believes that he loves Islam the most.

Moreover, taking a cue from this, we did a keyword search and found the video of Ronaldo’s interview at Expo 2020 Dubai uploaded on the Expo Live performance YouTube channel on January 28, 2022. In this interview, Expo 2020 Dubai, CEO Marjan Faraidooni asks Ronaldo questions about his life goals, travels, and ambitions. We watched the full video and found that nowhere in the interview Cristiano Ronaldo described Islam as the most beloved.

Hence all these points prove that Cristiano Ronaldo never said that he loves Islam the most.
