Electoral Bond: BJP receive donations from Pakistan? ‘Hub Power’ company buying electoral bonds is not Pakistani

The Election Commission has uploaded the data received from State Bank of India (SBI) in the Electoral Bonds case on its website on Thursday. Two lists of 763 pages have been posted on the Election Commission website. One list contains details of those who purchased electoral bonds, the other list contains details of bonds received by political parties. However, there is no way to find out which company has donated to which party. Meanwhile, people are claiming on social media that a Pakistani power company had bought electoral bonds, many people are also claiming that this company donated to BJP.

Congress leader Shahnawaz Aslam wrote on X, Narendra Modi resign. BJP has taken donation from Pakistani company, A law was made in the Parliament to loot the country, Narendra Modi is the most corrupt Prime Minister of the century! Now BJP government can only make EVM machines!

RJD supporter Priyanka Deshmukh wrote, Pakistani company Hub Power Company donated crores of rupees to BJP 2 months after Pulwama. Did a demon get 40 soldiers killed for the elections?

Rohini Acharya wrote, It is coming to light that a Pakistani company #Hub Power Company is donating to BJP just 2 months after the Pulwama attack #ElectoralBond , if this is true then it is horrifying.

Leader of Rashtriya Shoshit Samaj Party Brajesh Kumar Prajapati wrote, Pakistan-based company, Hub Power Company issued electoral bonds to BJP weeks after the Pulwama attack. When the whole country was mourning the death of soldiers, someone was enjoying the funding from Pakistan. Blind devotees, that is BJP.

Samajwadi Prahari wrote, Pakistani company Hub Power Company donated Rs 95 lakh to BJP during the 2019 Lok Sabha elections. At the same time, our soldiers were also killed in Pulwama. I have never seen a traitorous party like BJP. Why does BJP love Pakistani companies so much? This was the reason why BJP wanted to hide the donations.

Journalist Govind Pratap Singh wrote, Hub Power Company, If you search these names on Google, the company will appear Pakistan based. And if we see the electoral bond list, he has donated on 18th April 2019. Almost 70 days after Pulwama attack (14 February 2019).. But how is this possible? Maybe this company is different from Pakistan?

Congress leader Vijay Thottathil wrote, Is it true that BJP took money from Pakistan Company called Hub Power? That too after one week of Pulwama attack?? Who is going to investigate this? Then there was a shameless man who begged vote in the name of those martyrs!

Congress Leader Manish Tiwari wrote, Shocking revelation! Pakistan-based company, Hub Power Company donated electoral bonds, weeks after the Pulwama attack! When the whole country was mourning the death of 40 brave soldiers, someone was enjoying the funding from Pakistan.

Journalist Rakesh Pathak wrote, After Pulwama, Pakistan’s HUB POWER COMPANY bought bonds. Now let us know who redeemed it..!

Apart from this, SP supporters Shivam Yadav, Chandan, Congress supporters Newton, and Ankit Mayank, TMC leader Sanghamitra, journalist Arvind Chauhan, leftist Krishna Kant, Congress supporter Vinisha, radical handle @Delhiite_ have also described the company giving donations as Pakistani.

Furthermore, ABP News in one of its articles has also described HUB as a Pakistani company. It is written in the article that after looking at the details of the electoral bond, a surprising information has come to light. On scrutinizing the details, it is found that a power company of poor Pakistan has also donated to Indian political parties.

Fact Check

During investigation, we searched this company on the official GST portal and found out that ‘Hub Power Company’ is a Delhi based company. This company is registered in the name of Ravi Mehra. Readers can also confirm this by searching the GST number ‘07BWNPM0985J1ZX’ on the GST portal.

After this, we came to know from the website of India Mart that ‘Hub Power Company’ is a Delhi-based company that manufactures LED lights, it has nothing to do with Pakistan.

After this, we also found a report published on Amar Ujala on 30 September 2018. According to the report, any citizen, company or organization of India can buy bonds for donations. It cannot be purchased in cash but can be purchased only through check or e-payment.

Hence, it is clear from our investigation that Hub Power Company, which purchases electoral bonds, is not a Pakistani company, but a Delhi-based company. The claim that the BJP received donations from a Pakistan-based company is completely wrong.
