Video of Bhajan Lal Sharma calling PM Modi his favorite actor is edited
A video of Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma has gone viral on X, where he was asked by the media about his favorite actor. In response, he named Narendra Modi. Opposition parties have shared this video, claiming that the BJP Chief Minister himself acknowledged Narendra Modi as his favorite actor.
Supriya Shrinate claimed, ‘Journalist’s question – Who is your favorite actor? Rajasthan Chief Minister’s answer – Narendra Modi!’
AAP stated, ‘Narendra Modi is my favorite actor” – Bhajanlal Sharma, Chief Minister of Rajasthan. Chief Ministers and leaders of the Bharatiya Janata Party themselves believe that there has never been and will never be a bigger actor than Prime Minister Narendra Modi in this country.’
Pawan Khera posted, ‘You are right BhajanlalBjp ji, Prime Minister Modi is a good actor. But don’t you think that sometimes he has started over-acting too much?’
Ashish Singh wrote, ‘In iifa Awards Journalist ask question Rajasthan CM Bhajanlal Sharma. Who is your Favourite actor ? Bhajanlal Sharma replied – Narendra Modi.’
Dinesh Bohra, and Gaurav Pandhi shared the video with similar claims.

We began our fact-checking process by conducting a reverse image search of the video. During our search, we found a full version of the video in which a reporter asked Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma, “Who is your favorite actor? Who is your favorite hero?” In response, he replied, “Narendra Modi.”
However, Congress party leaders, AAP, and their supporters edited the clip, removing the part where the journalist asked, “Who is your favorite hero?” and only retaining the “Who is your favorite actor?” portion. This was done to create a misleading narrative.
