Punjab is currently reeling under devastating floods, affecting nearly 1,650 villages across all 23 districts. The worst-affected areas include Gurdaspur, Amritsar, Ferozepur and Fazilka. The local community, volunteers, celebrities and humanitarian organisations have come forward to contribute to the relief efforts. Meanwhile, a video is currently circulating on social media which shows some Muslims opening a donation bag. This video is being attributed to the flood relief efforts in Punjab.

Sharing the video, the handle Davinder Pal Singh wrote, “Our Muslim brothers have stepped forward to help the flood-affected people in Punjab. After all, it is a brother who comes forward to help another brother in tough times.” (Archived link)

Mr. Cool asserted, “For the past 3-4 days, Abdul Ji has been tirelessly helping the flood victims of Punjab. The special community should also come forward to help the Sikh brothers.” (Archived link)

The claim was also shared by other handles like Shaikh Ahmad (Archived link), The Muslim Space (Archived link), Muhammad Wasim Tyagi (Archived link), Rampal Jangra (Archived link), Mohd Huzaifa (Archived link), and World Wide News (Archived link).
