A clip is being shared on social media showing Australian Federal Police (AFP) Commissioner Krissy Barrett confirming the involvement of four Indian nationals in the Bondi beach attack in Sydney.

Sharing the clip, Nibraz Ramzan wrote, ”Australian Federal Police Commissioner Krissy Barrett confirmed that the Bondi attack was not an isolated incident but involved a wider network. 4 Indian🇮🇳 nationals were later arrested, allegedly Hindu extremists operating under false Muslim identities.” (Archived Link)

In our fact check investigation, we extracted multiple key frames from the viral video and conducted a reverse image search. Through this process, we found the same video published by The Guardian’s report on December 18, 2025.

In the complete video, AFP Commissioner Krissy Barrett confirmed that the alleged shooter who survived the Bondi Beach attack has been charged with 59 offences. We noted that during the briefing, Krissy Barrett did not mention the involvement of four Indian nationals or any cooperation with Indian authorities.

All of this confirms that the viral clip of Krissy Barrett has been digitally altered. In the original clip, she did not make such a statement.
