Old Video from 2021 Falsely Shared as Recent Protest Over Vinay Tiwari’s Arrest in Lucknow

Recently, the Enforcement Directorate arrested Samajwadi Party functionary and former Chillupar MLA Vinay Shankar Tiwari, son of former minister and gangster Hari Shankar Tiwari, in connection with a Rs 754.24 crore bank fraud in Lucknow. Tiwari has been sent to 15-day judicial custody and a chargesheet has been prepared against him.

Amidst all this, a video of a protest is going viral, with the claim that after Vinay Tiwari’s arrest, supporters of the late Hari Shankar Tiwari have taken to the streets in Lucknow to protest against the Yogi government.

Sharing the video, the handle Pandit Akash Shankdhar wrote, “In Lucknow, individuals associated with Tiwari Hata and supporters of Pandit Harishankar Tiwari have taken to the streets to wage an all-out battle against the Yogi government.
