Social media platform X, formerly Twitter, is witnessing a worrying surge in hateful content, with India and its predominantly Hindu population becoming frequent targets. Every day, derogatory posts are being directed at the Hindu community, attacking their beliefs and customs. A notable contributor to this issue is the Twitter handle ‘Crime Reports India‘ (@AsianDigest). This account consistently employs offensive terms like ‘Pajeet’ and ‘Chindu’ when referring to the Hindu community, and even goes as far as derogatorily labeling India as the ‘land of cow dung and urine.’ Disturbingly, the ‘Crime Reports India’ handle is notorious for spreading fake news.

‘Only Fact’ has been continuously fact checking the fake news spread by this handle. Let’s take a look at some of the fake news disseminated by this handle.
