Every day in Indian politics brings something new, and this time, there was an unexpected twist involving an Indian political party and its members. In the Rajya Sabha elections on February 27 in Uttar Pradesh, Karnataka, and Himachal Pradesh, something surprising unfolded, capturing everyone’s attention, especially towards the Karnataka polls. in Karnataka. Media outlets buzzed with reports that, during the jubilation of Congress candidate Syed Naseer Hussain’s victory, supporters were chanting “Pakistan Zindabad” in the Karnataka assembly. This unusual incident left many startled, as it’s not every day you hear such unexpected slogans of Pakistan Zindabad during a political celebration in India.
However, Congress and its supporters were quick to jump in and defend the mistake they made. Instead of letting the blunder slide, they wasted no time explaining and justifying their actions.
Congress Social media Chairperson Supriya Shrinate while quoting Union Minister Rajeev Chandrasekhar’s tweet in which he was exposing the supporters of Nasir Hussain, wrote, “You are worse than the petty 2 rupee trolls Rajeev. You are a minister in the govt of India spreading fake news. Here’s the video where Nasir Hussain supporters are saying ‘Nasir Saab Zindabad’ and NOT ‘Pakistan Zindabad’. You are a disgusting man – shame on you.”
Congress MLA Priyank Kharge wrote, “Whenever the BJP faces challenges in the country, this ‘Pakistan Zindabad‘ sound is heard! A few questions arise that need to be asked among media friends. During the victory celebrations, some media friends who were present said that they shouted “Nasir Saab Zindabad”. If by chance “Pakistan” was shouted there, shouldn’t everyone have heard the same thing? If by chance he had actually shouted Pakistan Zindabad, of course the consciousness of the journalists would have consciously paid attention to him, would have turned the camera on him, would have fallen on him, but here the journalists would not have paid any attention to him. If he had shouted like that, the people gathered there would definitely not have remained silent, they would have caught the person immediately and handed him over to the police, there would have been no change in the mannerism of the people gathered there, including journalists. If suddenly that person had shouted slogans like that, why was the “patriotism” of the journalists there not conscious? Why did you act as if nothing happened? Journalist friends should answer. Let the media be aware. Let conscious media lead to public welfare. Bhajans are like this.
Congress Leader Randeep Singh Surjewala wrote, “Frustrated & demoralised by their resounding defeat in the Rajya Sabha elections in Karnataka, BJP leaders are peddling their favourite set of lowly lies of Pakistan Zindabad slogans being raised by supporters of Congress MP elect, Sh. Nasir Hussain.”
Congress leader Pawan Khera while quoting Rajeev Chandrasekhar wrote, “This shameless man happens to be our IT Minister. The world would be laughing at us today as he brazenly peddles such lies and rubbish. The slogans are Nasir Saab Zindabad. Despite being called out for the fraud he is peddling, he has not shown the decency to delete the fakery. I guess that’s why he is a minister in Modi’s cabinet. @X please take note of this fake content being pushed by a minister who perhaps pushes you around every now and then to take down content.”
Indian Youth Congress President Srinivas BV wrote, “You have to be mentally deranged to confuse ‘Nasir Saab Zindabad’ with ‘Pakistan Zindabad’. Congress supporters were hailing Nasir Hussain as Nasir Saab, not your fantasy country, Malware. Stop lying shamelessly.”
INC spokesperson Lavanya Ballal Jain wrote, “The Kannada channel journalist who misheard Nasir Saab zindabad, must get his ears tested. On the way out he must buy a bit of conscience from the drug store.”
MP Congress social media incharge Sandeep Gupta while replying to Amit Malviya wrote, “Is your brain completely empty? You are hearing Nasir Saab Zindabad as Pakistan Zindabad.”
The handle of South Delhi Congress Sevadal while replying to Rajeev Chandrasekhar wrote, “Lies are needed only by those who are cowards. From Modi, Amit Malviya to all the BJP people, they live on lies all the time. Their life is dependent only on lies. Nasir Sahib Zindabad, you also hear Pakistan Zindabad because that is what is filled in your mind.”
Propaganda Journalist Wasim Akram Tyagi wrote, “Supporters of Nasir Hussain who was elected Rajya Sabha MP from Karnataka, raised the slogan of Nasir Saab Zindabad, but BJP IT Cell leader Amit Malviya posted the video on social media, calling this slogan as the slogan of Pakistan Zindabad. It is not that the BJP leader would have heard Nasir Saab Zindabad, Pakistan Zindabad, but he has deliberately tried to show that look, slogans of Pakistan Zindabad are being raised on the victory of a Congress Muslim, hence vote for BJP, nationalists. Vote for BJP, because in their eyes BJP is the only nationalist party. Now Congress leaders are denying the allegations of BJP IT Cell, but this denial is not going to help. Congress IT cell chief Supriya Shrinate and Pawan khera should file a case against Amit Malviya for spreading fake news, otherwise refuting on social media and showing oneself as a victim is all nonsense.”
Congress supporter Salman Anees Soz while quoting Rajeev Chandrasekhar wrote, “Are you out of your mind you worthless piece of ****? You are a minister and are spreading lies about a Member of Parliament and his supporters? Do you hate Indian Muslims so much that any of our slogans reminds you of Pakistan? Is this what you have learnt at Modi’s feet?”
In his another tweet while quoting Amit Malviya Salman Anees Soz wrote, “Arrest this idiot for claiming that Indian citizens are raising pro Pakistan slogans. By the time the truth is established, thousands will believe BJP lies. If he doesn’t apologize, prosecute him!”
Propaganda Media handle Journo Mirror wrote, “BJP IT cell chief spreads fake news, calls ‘Nasir Saab Zindabad’ slogan as ‘Pakistan Zindabad’.”
Propagandist Sadaf Afreen wrote, “Those people are vultures! They are waiting for a way to declare a Muslim a traitor by telling lies. It is clearly heard that people are saying “Naseer Saab Zindabad”, but they use all kinds of vile tactics to defame Muslims! People filled with hatred spread lies by calling “Naseer Saab Zindabad” as Pakistan Zindabad!”
Propagandist Firdaus Fiza wrote, “Nasir Saheb Zindabad’ is being called ‘Pakistan Zindabad’…!! Muslims are being defamed by making such fake videos.”
Apart from these, Rakesh, Zakir Ali Tyagi, and Yogesh Tyagi also made similar claims.

Six days following the occurrence on the night of the Rajya Sabha Elections, recent reports confirm that the Bengaluru police have apprehended three individuals for their involvement in raising “Pakistan Zindabad” slogans within the Karnataka Assembly premises after the victory of a Congress leader in the Rajya Sabha election.
As per the latest information from India Today, the Bengaluru police have taken into custody three individuals who have now been identified as Ilthaz from Delhi, Munavar from RT Nagar in Bengaluru, and Mohammad Shafi hailing from Byadagi in Haveri.
While speaking to News 18 DCP Central, Bengaluru City Police said “The arrested people have been identified as Iltaz, Munawar and Mohammed Shafi Nashipudi. “All three arrests are based on FSL report, circumstantial evidence, witness statements and other evidence,”
Moreover, Bengaluru-based media agency Asianet Suvarna News shared a police order. The order said, “Date:- On 27-02-2024 during the Rajya Sabha election results held at Vidhansouda regarding shouting slogan ‘Pakistan Zindabad’ Vidhansouda Police Station Mo.No. Case will be registered as on 20/2024.
In this background, based on the FSL report, circumstantial evidence, witness statements and available evidence, 03 accused persons were arrested and legal action was initiated against them.”
After this, our attention was drawn to a video posted on the official ANI handle. In this video, Karnataka Home Minister Dr G Parameshwara shed some light on the situation, stating, “That individual shouted the slogans twice. FSL has not said who has said that. They have just said that it has been confirmed, and there is no intervention of any kind; it is a straightforward continuous video. They have examined and confirmed that there was shouting like ‘Pakistan Zindabad,’ and based on that, we have identified three persons and arrested them.”
Hence, there is unequivocal confirmation that the “Pakistan Zindabad” slogans were indeed raised in the Karnataka assembly following the victory chants for Congress candidate Syed Nasir Hussain.
This incident unfolds on multiple nuanced levels, each revealing a concerning aspect of the political landscape. Firstly, the unsettling episode of “Pakistan Zindabad” slogans echoing in Bengaluru, Karnataka, and that too inside the assembly house raises eyebrows. Secondly, the implication that the supporters of a Congress leader, now a Member of Parliament, were involved in chanting anti-national and treacherous slogans is worrisome. Lastly, the unity among Congress leaders and supporters in defending this blunder adds another layer to the complexity of the situation.
This incident highlights serious concerns within Indian politics, questioning how supporters of a particular party can raise slogans that go against national sentiments. What’s even more disconcerting is the apparent support these actions receive from party leaders and left liberals. So, it’s up to the readers to reflect on the nature of this complex situation and draw their conclusions regarding which actions are most morally reprehensible.
