Viral claim of Indian Muslim soldier’s suicide is fake
A clip is being shared showing an Indian soldier named Rahul discovering the body of another soldier, named Akram, and stating that he has committed suicide. Another soldier then intervenes and suggests that they report him as missing. The clip is being circulated claiming that an Indian soldier named Akram committing suicide due to harassment and mistreatment by Hindu officers.
Sharing the video, the handle Tactical Tribune wrote, “An Indian Army’s Muslim soldier took his life due to the misbehave of the Hindu officers.” (Archived link)

In our fact-check research, we conducted a Google search using keywords like ‘Indian soldier commits suicide due to ill-treatment by Hindu officers’, but we found no credible media support for any such incident reported within the Indian Army.
Following a thorough examination of the video, we noticed that the video shows an individual wearing a helmet which bears the Indian national flag.
The Indian national flag printed on the helmet raises questions about the authenticity of the video in question. According to the Flag Code of India 2002, Indian Army soldiers generally do not display the Indian national flag on their regular combat uniforms or helmets.
In conclusion, the clip of an Indian Muslim soldier committing suicide due to harassment by Hindu officers is not real. This claim is completely fake and fabricated and does not show any recent incident within the Indian Army.
