PLA drill video falsely shared as Chinese troop build-up near Arunachal Pradesh
A clip of Chinese military activities is being shared on social media with claims alleging that after declaring Arunachal Pradesh its own territory, the Chinese Army is deploying massive military reinforcements at 16 locations near Arunachal Pradesh border.
Sharing the clip, the handle Julia Kendrick wrote, “China has started massive military build-up near Arunachal Pradesh.” (Archived link)
Pakistan-linked account Sana Yousafzai asserted, “China has started MASSIVE military buildup near Chinese territory, Zangnan aka Arunachal Pradesh.” (Archived link)
Another handle Arab Military stated, “China has begun massive military reinforcements near the Indian state of Arunachal Pradesh.” (Archived link)
The clip was also shared many other handles like Ravi Kapur (Archived link), Jotti Verma (Archived link), Mighty Military (Archived link), Aradhiya (Archived link), Moscow News (Archived link), SynCronus (Archived link), Tekzilver (Archived link), and International Relations (Archived link).

In our fact-check research, we took different keyframes from the viral video and ran a reverse image search. During this, we found the same video posted on CGTN Europe on November 13, 2025, with a title ‘PLA ground force conducts live-fire drills featuring high tech drones, robotic dogs.’
The post’s description states that recently, a unit of the Chinese People’s Liberation Army (PLA) conducted a live-fire drill using new tactics and advanced technology, such as long-endurance drones and robotic dogs. The exercise simulated combat tactics, increasing battlefield efficiency and reducing risk to soldiers.
The video shows PLA conducting routine military drills using advanced drones and robotic dogs. The description did not state anywhere that it depicted military deployments near the Indian border. Therefore, posts claiming that China has begun a massive military build-up near Arunachal Pradesh are fake and misleading.
