Social media users are sharing a video and several pictures claiming that something unusual occurred in Pakistan: a boy married his mother. The claim has gone viral, sparking widespread criticism and mockery across social media platforms.
Samajwadi Part supporter Shyam Yadav posted on X ‘What a terrible and immoral time we are living in. In Pakistan, Abdul Ahad has married his own biological mother.
Abdul said, “My mother kept me happy for 21 years; now I will make her happy.”
People no longer care about relationships; they are becoming increasingly depraved.’

We began our fact-checking process by performing a reverse image search on the video. Our search led us to an Instagram video shared by Abdul Ahad. The video’s description reads, “In the past 18 years, I tried my best to give her a special life according to my worth, as she sacrificed her whole life for us. But eventually, she deserves a peaceful life of her own. So I think I did the right thing. I supported my mom in taking a second chance at love after 18 years. It was tough for someone else to become her number one priority, and this is the most selfless thing I have ever done, as she is the only person I own in my life.”
The Instagram video shows a son helping his mother remarry after she selflessly cared for him for 18 years.
Additionally, we found a news article on Reviewit.pk stating, ‘A son married off his mother after 18 years of her raising him. This story is not only heartwarming but also inspiring. In Pakistan, a largely patriarchal society, men are often supported in matters of love and companionship far more than women. While it’s common to hear about an 80-year-old man marrying for the third time, a widow or divorced woman remarrying is often viewed negatively. Abdul Ahad did something special by supporting his beloved mother in finding happiness.’
