Anjali Birla married Aneesh Rajani
Anjali Birla, daughter of Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla, recently married her longtime friend and businessman Aneesh Rajani in Kota on November 12. Wedding photos of the couple are circulating on social media, sparking claims that Anjali has married a Muslim.
Tanvir wrote, “Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla got his daughter Anjali married to Anees Rajani After all what is the reason that all the anti-Muslim leaders in our country choose their sons-in-law Anees and Mukhtar. Why don’t you choose a Hindi name like @ChandanSharmaG @MrSinha_ ? Are the boys with Hindi names not trustworthy?”
Handle Mahi wrote, “Blind devotees, congratulations to another Muslim brother-sister. Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla’s daughter Anjali and Anees got married.”
Chandni wrote, “Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla has got his daughter Anjali married to ‘Muslim’ Anees Rajani. Anti-Muslim leaders choose Muslim youth as their son-in-law. What is the reason. Why don’t they choose Hindi names like Sharma, Kumar, Yadav, Singh, Mishra? Are boys with Hindi names not trustworthy?”

In our fact check research, we first found a video on the Facebook profile of Ankit Khandelwal, the anchor of this program. In this video, marriage ceremonies are seen taking place as per Hindu customs.
Following this, we found some pictures of the wedding ceremony on the Facebook profile of BJP leader Dheeraj Singh Meena. According to Dheeraj’s post, he attended the ceremony, so we contacted him using the mobile number listed on his Facebook profile. During the conversation, Dheeraj clarified that Aneesh Rajani is not from the Muslim community.
For more information, he provided us with the mobile number of a family friend, Divyank, who informed us that Aneesh is a Hindu Sindhi and a resident of Kota, Rajasthan.
Additionally, we found a wedding card from the marriage ceremony. On the card, Aneesh Rajani’s father’s name is listed as Naresh Rajani and his mother’s name as Simran Rajani.
These findings confirm that the claim about Anjali Birla marrying a Muslim man is misleading. Her husband, Aneesh Rajani, is a Sindhi Hindu from Kota.
