Viral video shows Instagram influencer posing with her pet dog
A video of a girl in a bridal dress with a golden retriever is going viral on social media platforms like X and Instagram. Social media users are sharing the video with the claim that a Hindu girl is marrying her dog. These posts appear to be shared with the intent of harming Hindu sentiments.
MS Raza on Instagram asserted, “A girl is marrying her dog.”
X user Tiger wrote, “According to which religion is this happening, blind devotees?”
Devdasi claimed, “Look Andhbhaqt , we are no less. You people are running to marry us, we have also searched for dates like you. How did you like our new groom and your brother. Anyway, the verses of our holy book also allow it, so why wait. Hypocrisy is the truth.”
Pinki wrote, “Someone jokingly told this sister that Boys behave like dogs after marriage. So she married the dog.”
Apart from this, a handle Flamax, also shared the video with a similar claim.

We began our fact-checking research with a reverse image search of the viral video. Through reverse search, we found an image shared by influencer and digital creator Divyun Nanda Seth on March 25, 2024, in which she is seen posing with a Golden Retriever.
We also found a link to a YouTube video from influencer Divyun Nanda Seth, in which she posed with her dog dressed in bridal attire. This video, posted on May 25, 2024, was captioned, “Only dog parents can relate to this.”
Additionally, we came across a video dated May 20, 2024, showing Divyun Nanda Seth, an Instagram influencer, performing traditional Hindu wedding rituals with her groom.
In conclusion, the claim that a Hindu woman married a dog is false and baseless. The truth is that Divyun Nanda Seth has a pet dog named Gabru, whom she featured in a playful wedding-themed video.
