CEAT Tyres Ad With Tagline “Modi Hatao” is Edited

Recently, an advertisement video is being circulated on X with the anti-Modi tagline to appeal people to note vote for the video. In the video, a man is seen refusing to pay for the carry bag and carrying all the items bought in his hand. The video ends with the graphic “Paise bachane hain?” and next the tagline Modi hatao, paise bacho, democracy and naukri bachao” appears on the screen.

Congress supporter Vijay Thottahil sharing the video wrote, “Modi Hatao is the new trend.”

X User G Gidwani wrote, “2014 – Enough of corruption, this time Modi government! 2024 – Corruption is at its peak, people are confused, remove Modi, save the country!”

Another X user Anahat wrote, “Want to save money Remove Modi Save both money and country.”

Fake news peddler and the parody account Arundhati wrote, “Don’t miss the End.”

Fact Check

In our fact checking, we found that the video going viral belong to CEAT Tyres which was aired in 2017. The last part of the video has been edited and a separate message appealing not to vote for BJP has been added.

In the unedited version, the last part of the ad reads, “CEAT Fuels Smart – Save up to ₹15,000 in 3 years.” This portion has been replaced with the tagline “Modi Hatao, Paise Bachao”.

Conclusion: The CEAT Tyres advertisement video has been edited and shared with the anti-Modi tagline “Modi Hatao, Paise Bachao” to suggest that to save money and the country, remove Modi.
