Ashok Kumar Pandey stated, “Champai Ji had gone to BJP for this honour, remember Hemant Soren used to touch his feet and see how lovingly Amit Shah is calling him.”

Arunesh Yadav wrote, “The way Home Minister Amit Shah is addressing former Jharkhand Chief Minister Shri Champai Soren is the status of tribal leaders in BJP. Tribals have no respect in the eyes of BJP.”

Vinita Jain asserted, “The way Home Minister Amit Shah is addressing former Jharkhand Chief Minister Shri Champai Soren is the status of tribal leaders in BJP. Tribals have no respect in the eyes of BJP.”

Priyanka Deshmukh wrote, “The way Amit Shah is talking to tribal leaders, will he show it by talking to some Brahmin Bhumihar leader in the same way? Amit Shah will pee in his pants in front of a Brahmin Bhumihar leader. The tribal society is watching everything and will give a befitting reply.”

Fact Check

In our fact-check research, we reviewed videos of Amit Shah’s rallies in Jharkhand. We found the video of the Ghatshila public rally was uploaded on the Bhartiya Janata Party’s YouTube channel on 3rd November.

In the video, at the 6-minute 11-second mark, Amit Shah refers to Adivasi leader Champai Soren as a veteran leader, saying, “A distinguished Adivasi leader who has fought for the livelihood, daughters, and land of the Adivasi people, our Champai Soren ji, please come forward.” Additionally, Shah addressed other leaders, Dr. Dinesh Anand Goswami and Babulal, with respect, using “ji” after their names.

In addition, we found the segment of the clip that went viral towards the end of the video at the 27-minute and 31-second mark. In this part, Amit Shah addresses Champai Soren respectfully, using “ji,” and invites him to step forward. However, in the viral clip, the “ji” has been edited out, giving the impression that Shah did not show proper respect to these leaders due to their Adivasi identity. This edit changes the context, making it appear as though Shah was intentionally disrespectful.

In conclusion, the viral clip showing Amit Shah addressing Adivasi leader Champai Soren and other leaders at the Jharkhand rally in a disrespectful tone is misleading. Viral clip has been edited.
