Hindutva Watch, known for his anti-Hindu bias and infamous for spreading misinformation on twitter tweeted an article from his website with caption “Both the Congress and the RSS have one common trait: Indifference towards the Indian Muslims.
The article is outsourced from another foreign funded propaganda website Clarion India. They too have used same misleading image.
Another religious propaganda channel name ‘Muslim Mirror has used the same article.
Fact Check
We started our research by using keywords such as “Jammu Massacre” and clicked on image tab. There we found the original image used by Clarion India website.
However when we reverse searched this image, we found that this image is used by a Firstpost journalist Monidipa Bose with different attribution. According to Monidipa Bose, This image is from The great Kolkata Killing also known as Direct Action Day happened just before the partition.
Taking the clue from the tweet, we used the keyword “The great Kolkata killing” and searched images. We came across several news articles attributing the given image to the direct action day. According to News 9, The image is from 1946 Direct action Day where they have sourced image from Wikimedia Commons
Image is also available on stock footage website alamy for personal and commercial use. According to alamy as well, The image belongs to direct action day, 1946
We tried to verify the other claims made in Article. According to the article 60000 muslims were massacred in 7 Days. However we all the information regarding this alleged genocide is being attributed on left propaganda sites such as scrolls or islamist propaganda channel from kashmir. Wikipedia, however with their biases mentioned the casualty from 20,000 to 1,00,000
Lack of trusted source made us to look for other sources such as Books. We found a pdf book authored by Bal K. Gupta “Forgotten Atrocities: Memoirs of a Survivor of the1947 Partition of India”. In the PDF Book, Chapter 12 we found that Pakistani Soldiers pulled out several Hindu and Sikh Men and killed them outside Alibeg Prison. First they picked up RSS Members and bundled them in few buses for excecution.
Based on all the available sources and facts, Our team concludes that claim made by Hindutva Watch and Clarion India is outrageously False. Moreover, burnt of partition suffered mostly by Hindu Community
