According to the report, a CRPF BP bunker vehicle was involved in an accident on the Dagpora-Umherai Road in Srinagar on February 21, 2026. The driver lost control of the vehicle, causing it to skid and plunge into a water canal in Ahmed Nagar.
As per another report by Kashmir Reader, in the accident, nine CRPF personnel were injured. Initially, seven personnel were injured who were immediately shifted to the Sher-i-Kashmir Institute of Medical Sciences (SKIMS). Later, two more injured were taken to the SKIMS.

All the injured policemen are now stable and have suffered multiple injuries. However, there are no reports of any fatalities, nor are there any reports confirming that the vehicle fell into a water canal after being targeted by militants. The officials statement attributes the incident to the road accident caused by loss of vehicle control. The claim of a militant attack stems from the Pakistan’s propaganda on X.
