Fact Check
We reverse-imaged the thumbnail image from the News Nasha article to learn the truth behind this viral claim. But our reverse imaged search result led us to nothing.
We also performed other keyword searches on YouTube for “Manu Gokhale and Divya Dutt running sex racket in massage parlour,” “RSS members involved in Indore massage parlour sex racket,” and “Indore sex racket.” We found several videos. However, we couldn’t find any video which had the similar keyframe, which was used as a thumbnail in the News Nasha article.
Further, after conducting a keyword search on Google, we were unable to locate any media reports that states that the two RSS functionaries named Manu Gokhale and Divya Dutt were complicit in the Indore sex racket.
Additionally, we did the same keyword search on Twitter, and found a tweet from 2022. A twitter user @/Sam_Khan_21 had shared the full version of the video. In the start of the video, we found the same keyframe. The user wrote that, “Sex racket busted in Indore Anand Bazar Raunak beauty parlour, BJP mandal leaders Divya Dutt and Manu Prasad Gokhale found naked.”
Another user @/MdToushif00786 sharing the same video wrote, “Indore has progressed a lot under Shivraj Mama’s rule, including BJP leader Divya Sharma, dozens of girls were seen running naked.”
Since last year, the same video has been making rounds on social media platforms with different claims. Some users claimed that the RSS members Manu Gokhale and Divya Sharma were found naked when police raided the massage parlour, while others claimed that the BJP member Divya Sharma was running the whole illegal racket.
Our team got in touch with the RSS to find out the truth about these various claims. While speaking to Only Fact, the RSS refuted these claims and clarified that neither Manu Gokhale nor anyone named Divya Dutt/Sharma are affiliated with the Sangh unit in Indore. They further stated that a FIR had been filed against a few social media users who shared the video while maligning the reputation of the Hindu organization.
The Only Fact team also obtained a copy of the FIR. According to the FIR’s content, Piyush Ahir, resident of Haryana, was accused of violating section 295(A) by hurting religious sentiments and attempting to tarnish the reputation of the nationalist organization.
The accused had shared the same contentious video on his Facebook page while claiming the RSS officials were running the sex racket. Not only that, he also claimed that the clients received a massage known as a “Sanatan massage.”
Along with Piyush Ahir, it also states that Saurabh Jain Baderi, administrator of the portal name Jan Vichar Samvad Group, Encounter News portal administrator, Apoorva Bhardwaj, Bhavika Kapoor, Anuj Yadav and News Nasha propagated the same false claim on social media. Strict punishment was requested for these social media users under sections 469, 500 and 67 (a).
The another FIR copy has the names of the accused who shared the video with the same claim on their respective social media handles. Below are the accused names mentioned:
Therefore, in light of the aforementioned facts and points, the assertion that RSS was running a sex racket in Indore’s massage parlour is fake and misleading. No prominent media outlet has covered such news. The RSS has also clarified and denied the claims.
